Blue springs Golf
[Posted: September 5, 2018] - Sketchbook pages from Blue Springs Golf Course on the weekend. It was a slow round! That means more time to sketch.
King Valley Golf
[Posted: August 25, 2018] - Small illustration of Hole No. 2 at King Valley Golf Club. Completed on vacation, while enjoying the quiet of Otter Lake, just south of Parry Sound. The goal was to paint using less green.
[Posted: August 18, 2018] - Sketching while you are golfing can be described as "speed drawing". Even when the pace is slow, you only have a few minutes to draw. So, I start with permanent ink pen, and finish up with some graphite tone. I recently played Rocky Crest Golf Course, my favorite Club Link course. It was so slow, I sketched 8 of the last 9 holes!
[Posted: July 25, 2018] - My dog Buddy waits so patiently for me to take him for a walk. But once he thinks it's time (and it's like he can read my mind) ... he gets so excited! We all should enjoy a walk as much as he does. This morning, we saw a mother deer and fawn, a great blue heron and the two osprey in their nest at Labatt's Ball Park.
3 sketchbooks, 810 golf holes
[Posted: July 18, 2018] - I started these golf themed sketchbooks in 2016 and now, July of 2018, I have filled the third sketchbook, a total of 810 individual golf holes sketched.
