Thursday and Friday, were a little busy with life and work… so small sketchbook again. Very quick sketches: the first one is a chair from my studio and the second one is my Friday evening beverage from Andersons Craft Ales. Start with a pencil, then a micron pen, and then waterbrush with diluted India ink.
Some daily sketch sessions are just really, really quick. Like today. After being away to golf for 2 days, and today was the third round of golf this weekend (Thanksgiving Weekend in Canada), it was just a sketch of my post-game beverage. And boy does an IPA taste great after playing golf!
A couple of the weekend sketches from golfing in Michigan. Keep the tools simple: sketchbook, pencil, micron pen, and water brush (with india ink). Saturday was TPC Michigan. A little chilly to start with but warmed up nicely. Sunday was Oakhurst Golf and Country Club. Threatening rain all day, we had to walk the first nine, because of all the rain overnight, but we could get in a cart for the second nine. Finished just before the downpour! Timing is everything.
Our book is available at various locations across London. And excited to announce that our book will soon (before Father's Day, in case you are looking for a unique gift for your father) be available at Chapter Indigo North London!! (Richmond Centre, 86 Fanshawe, London, Ontario)
It's been a long time since the release of the books "Barhopping into History, London Ontario" and "Hopping into History, London's Old East Village" by my author friend Kym Wolfe, and myself. It has to be the right project. There are so many craft breweries here in London ON and they each have history and character and awesome craft beer. We are systematically making our way to all of them: testing, talking, observing, taking photos, and interviewing owners and brewmasters.
Excited to be part of the "Meet the Artist" Series at the London Public Library. Kym Wolfe and I will be discussing the history and architecture of significant London buildings.

As an introvert, I am very happy in a group of ONE! During this time of social distancing, staying at home, reading, drawing, walking the dog, and watching a movie at home, suit me just fine. But, for extroverts and sports lovers, this is a challenging time. Hang in there, you will get through it...
Sometimes the winter months for me means going to work, coming home and not going out. And to be honest, I am happy to do just that. But, back in December, I decided I should be more social over the course of the winter months, so I started a new project and it is:
